In Aquàrium Barcelona, Europe's largest and most important Museum of Marine Science of the Mediterranean, maritime habitats are emulated in over 35 different water basins. You will find over 11,000 marine animals from 450 species and an 80-metre-long underwater tunnel through the shark basin.
The Aquàrium is located on the Moll d'Espanya in Port Vell and is of the old town and Barceloneta very easy to walk away.
Visiting the Aquàrium
The original home of the animals issued in the Aquàrium Barcelona, is primarily the Mediterranean Sea and the tropical waters.
Although the Aquàrium itself is understanding as a leasure establishment, and displays an impressive way of the animals, their habitats and the interaction of the habitats. The culmination of about an 80 meter-long glass tunnel through the sea basin in which one can find sharks, rays moraines and cavort. Courageous people can dive in the shark basin for 300 €. Limited places and only by appointment.
